Name: Capt. Evan Muxen

Resides: Belleville, N.Y.

Schools: Kiona-Benton High School (2000 grad) in Benton City, Wash. and Northwest University in Kirkland (2005).

Occupation: Army Captain, First Brigade 10th Mountain Division, based in Fort Drum, N.Y. Evan never missed following a Seahawks game even when he was deployed in Iraq in 2008-09. “The games were one of the few pleasures I had when I was deployed. When I get to watch the Hawks, I feel a little closer to home no matter where I am in the world.”

Family: Evan and wife Elizabeth have three children: Meredith, 9; Carolyn, 7; Nathaniel, 2. “Carolyn is bugging us because she doesn’t have a Seahawks shirt yet. We’re trying to find one in her size.”

Favorite Seahawks: Marshawn Lynch or Steve Hauschka (“I was a kicker”). All-time favorite Seahawk, probably Steve Largent.

12th fan for: 20-30 years.

Seahawks story: “I would go to my grandmother’s place, and she was a rabid Seahawks and Mariners fan. I would sit down as a kid and watch the Hawks with her. They lost so much, but the happy memories of watching the Hawks and M’s with my grandmother are awesome.”

Seahawks moment: Evan once shook hands with running back Shaun Alexander at practice as a student at Northwest University.

Fast fact: “When I was in second grade I had a Brian Bosworth mullet. My sister curled it every day, and I even had the stripes. It was cool back then.”

Prediction: Seahawks 34, Cowboys 21. “It’s going to be a relatively high-scoring game, and one where the Hawks will be pressuring them the entire game. The Cowboys won’t be able to keep up with the kind of defense and offense the Seahawks play.

Last game: Times columnist Larry Stone and guest picker Danny Bonaduce shared the victory by correctly picking one of the team’s scores with the same margin of victory for Seattle. 12th Fan of the Week Lilly Cox of Bremerton guessed that the Seahawks would win 37-14.
