Report: Okung has torn labrum in shoulder

Q13 Fox is reporting that Seattle starting left tackle Russell Okung has a torn labrum in his shoulder dating to an injury suffered against Denver.

Okung left that game briefly with the injury but returned, and has played every snap of the last two games.

Okung has not been listed on the injury report, having been able to participate in practice since the injury.

Okung talked to reporters during the week and again after Siunday’s game but did not mention the injury, saying only that every player has injuries and it’s part of being in the NFL.

The Oklahoma State grad and first round pick in 2010 has struggled with penalties the last two weeks, being called for five, and has seven for the season — four false starts and three holdings — which is second in the NFL.

Okung participated sparingly in the off-season and in training camp after having surgery on his toe, an injury that cost him eight games in 2013.
