A few notes and quotes from Pete Carroll’s Friday radio show

During his weekly Friday radio show on  KIRO-FM 97.3, coach Pete Carroll said defensive tackle Jordan Hill has a sprained ankle. Carroll did not give a prognosis for Hill, who has not practiced all week, but included him in a list with three other players he said again our for this week — Bobby Wagner, Max Unger and Zach Miller.

It’s the first time this week Carroll  has given any specifics on Hill, who is a key member of the team’s defensive line rotation.

Carroll did not mention Cassius Marsh, who did not practice Thursday with a foot injury, or tight end Luke Willson, who sat out with a groin injury and are each new injuries this week, nor did he mention Percy Harvin, who sat out Thursday with a thigh,

But he said that “we are going to go all the way to gameday 0n a few guys.” Presumably, that means guys like Willson and Marsh. Willson’s loss would be particularly critical since he is now starting with Miller out.

Seattle had a season-high nine players listed as not practicing Thursday. On his show, Carroll acknowledged the piling up of the injuries, saying “we might limp our way in here a little bit, but we’ll be okay.”

Carroll was also asked about the comment Thursday by safety Earl Thomas that the team might have taken its home field advantage for granted. Carroll saaid he thinks “everybody is looking to try to pinpoint something” as the reason for Sunday’s loss to Dallas but that “I don’t think it’s any one thing.”  He said he felt like “maybe it wasn’t our most emotional game” but also said the way the game went might have contributed to that.

Carroll will meet with the media at-large later today and the team will also then release a final injury report for the week that should provide a little more clarity on some players.

Also this morning. …
