Seahawks injury report for Wednesday: Chancellor sits out with ankle injury

Seattle’s official injury report for Wednesday is mostly as expected.

But one thing to note is that S Kam Chancellor sat out with an ankle injury. Chancellor has dealt with an ankle issue all season, admitting he thought about surgery after the San Diego game. After that game, he said that some changes in shoes had helped solve the issue. But Chancellor was noticeably slowed at times Sunday against the Rams, as teammate Richard Sherman noted today when talking to reporters.

“I think  last game it kind of flared up on him again a little bit,” Sherman said. “He was able to overcome it and continue to play in the game but obviously any time you have an ankle injury it takes a lot. But he’s fought through and done a great job.”

Also new on the report is running back Robert Turbin, who was limited with  a shoulder injury. No real surprise there, though, as Turbin said in the locker room prior to practice he was more sore than usual handling fullback duties for the first time on Sunday.

Also out today were FB Derrick Coleman and TE Zach Miller, already declared out for Sunday, as well as C Max Unger, LB Bobby Wagner, CB Byron Maxwell, DT Jordan Hill and RB Marshawn Lynch, the latter taking his usual Wednesday rest day. Not sure why Wagner is not listed as already out for the game but there is obviously no way he is playing.

Listed as fully participating were TE Luke Willson and CB Tharold Simon, so each should be back on Sunday at Carolina.
