The Seattle Times will highlight a 12th Fan of the Week throughout the season. Each fan will predict the outcome of the next Seahawks game against a Seattle celebrity and Times reporters and columnists.
Name: Randy Aliment
School: Renton High School, University of Puget Sound and Seattle University Law School.
Family: Wife Elaine, daughter Kendall, sons Nick and Kevin.
Occupation: Lawyer, Partner, at Seattle office of Williams Kastner PLLC.
Seahawks fan for: Original season-ticket holder. “Initially, five Aliment cousins purchased season tickets together, always on the 35-yard line on the Seahawks side and south end of the Kingdome, where we have enjoyed great family fun over many years.”
Favorite Seahawks: Current, running back Marshawn Lynch. All-time, Dave Krieg, former quarterback, 1980-1991. “Old-school Seahawk toughness, a gritty competitor and a really good guy.”
Memorable moment: “Super Bowl week in the Big Apple with our daughter Kendall, who now lives and works in NYC, and a blow-out win over our former AFC West rival Broncos. It doesn’t get any better than that!”
Fast facts: Paternal grandparents immigrated from Castellamonte in Northern Italy and raised 11 children, all in Renton. Returns to Italy often to visit relatives, but there are now more Aliments in the Greater Seattle area than there are in Italy.
Prediction: 34-9, Seahawks. “I think we have straightened out the issues that have given us some grief in recent weeks and will come home to the 12s and celebrate with a big win over the hapless Raiders.”
Last week: 12th Fan of the Week Pat DeLorenzo correctly picked the Seahawks to win at Carolina, 30-20. But his guess wasn’t as close as Seattle Times reporter Bob Condotta, who predicted a 24-17 Seattle victory.
