Richard Sherman interception helps Seahawks build lead

Already ahead 14-3 after Bruce Irvin’s interception return for a touchdown, Richard Sherman got in on the action in the second quarter with his first interception of the season and 21st of his career. Raiders quarterback David Carr passed to the right side on third-and-five from the Oakland 25. The pass was intended for Andre Holmes, but Sherman was in the right spot at the Oakland 40 and ran it back 22 yards. (Watch video here)

The Seahawks settled for a 34-yard field goal by Steven Hauschka to extend the lead to 17-3 with 12:29 to go in the second quarter.
