Seahawks injury report: Chancellor, Carpenter doubtful

RENTON — Safety Kam Chancellor (groin), guard James Carpenter (ankle), center Stephen Schilling (knee) and linebacker Malcolm Smith (groin) were all listed as doubtful on the Seahawks’ official injury report after Friday’s practice.

Cornerback Byron Maxwell (calf) is listed as questionable as is cornerback Marcus Burley (hamstring). Maxwell has been a maybe all week, but Burley appeared on the injury list for the first time this week. If Burley isn’t able to go, his injury is lessened by the fact that the Seahawks return cornerback Jeremy Lane, who was the starter at nickel corner before a Week One injury sidelined him. It will be Lane’s first game back.

The probable players this week are: Jeron Johnson (concussion), Max Unger, O’Brien Schofield (head), Jordan Hill (ankle), Russell Okung (calf), Doug Baldwin (groin), Marshawn Lynch (calf), Michael Bennett (toe).

Johnson should get the start in place of Chancellor, if Chancellor’s injury forces him to miss his second straight game.

As expected, tight end Zach Miller (ankle) and linebacker Bobby Wagner (toe) are both officially out for this week’s game.
