Seahawks’ win over New York draws a giant TV rating

Seattle’s win over the New York Giants had another boffo TV rating in the Seattle-Tacoma area, drawing a 45.9 rating and a 75 share on KCPQ-13, the local FOX affiliate.

That’s the highest rating of the year for a Seahawks game locally, just ahead of the 45.2 for Seattle’s win at Washington on Monday, Oct. 6.

It was up just a little bit from last Sunday’s 30-24 win over the Raiders, which was televised on CBS (whose local affiliate is KIRO) and drew a 44 rating (the number of TVs in the area tuned to the game) and a 73 share (the number of TVs in use at the time tuned to the game).

The previous week’s win at Carolina drew a 39 rating and 72 share (televised on CBS and in the 10 a.m. local time slot).

The loss to Dallas had a 43.1 rating and 78 share. Here are ratings for other games this season: Denver (41.9), San Diego (34.7) and Green Bay (42.4).
