Seven Seahawks sit out practice Wednesday

Seven Seahawks sat out of practice on Wednesday, with middle linebacker Bobby Wagner already listed as out.

The other six who sat out were OG James Carpenter (ankle), TE Luke Willson (ankle), RB Marshawn Lynch (calf), LB Brock Coyle (glute), CB Marcus Burley (hamstring) and DE Michael Bennett (non-injury related, meaning probably just a rest day).

Listed as having limited participation in practice were TE Cooper Helfet (one), LB Malcolm Smith (groin) and CB Jeremy Lane (groin).

Listed as being a full participant was safety Kam Chancellor, who has missed the last two games with a groin injury. That obviously is a strong indication that Chancellor will indeed play at Kansas City after missing the last two games.

The injury Coyle, along with Wagner already being declared out, is one reason the Seaahawks today brought back Allen Bradford, who can play middle linebacker along with special teams.

Lynch also sat out practice last Thursday with a calf injury. He often sits out on Wednesday as a rest day.

With Lane this could just be a quasi-rest day after playing for the first time in eight weeks on Sunday after a stint on IR with a groin injury.

As for Seattle’s opponent this week, Kansas City, here’s a recap of the Chiefs’ injuries from ESPN.
