Bill Leavy to ref Seattle Seahawks-Kansas City game Sunday

According to FootballZebras.com, the referee for Sunday’s game at Kansas City will be Bill Leavy:

Yep, that’s the same Bill Leavy who was the ref for Seattle’s Super Bowl loss in 2006. And in something of an oddity, this is the second time in six games that he will handle a Seaahawks game. Leavy was also the head ref for the home loss to Dallas (I wrote this on the blog at that timeĀ about Leavy).

Here is Leavy’s ProFootballReference page, showing that home teams are 4-4 this year in games officiated by his crew.

And as noted here, Leavy’s crew this year has not been among the more flag-happy, ranking 13th among the 17 crews in penalties per game at 15.1.
