Seahawks injury report — Helfet the big question this week

The Seahawks didn’t really practice today. But since it was basically a Thursday of a normal game week, the teams involved had to release injury reports based on if they had.

And in continuing the theme of improved health, Seattle listed just three players as out — center Max Unger, LB Kevin Pierre-Louis an TE Cooper Helfet.

Unger is out another three weeks or so with ankle and knee injuries, and Pierre-Louis appears headed to IR. That leaves Helfet as the main injury concern this week with a sprained ankle suffered late against the Cardinals.

Seattle listed six players as limited — RB Marshawn Lynch (back), WR Jermaine Keare (ankle), DE Demarcus Dobbs (knee), CB Marcus Burley (hamstring), CB Jeremy Lane (groin) and OG James Carpenter (ankle).

But coach Pete Carroll said earlier expect Lynch to play and it sounds like all the others likely will, as well.

Here’s Pro Football Talk’s recap of the injury situation.
