Seahawks pre-game links and notes: Jeanpierre to take center stage

Happy Thanksgiving!

Team Times is headed to Levi’s Stadium soon, and thankful to have the opportunity.

The Seahawks may not be quite as thankful that the Lions beat the Bears earlier today. That means the loser of tonight’s 49ers-Seahawks game will be on the outside looking in at the playoff picture, if the season ended this weekend (which I know it doesn’t, etc.).

While we wait, a few other links and notes to pass along. …

— As I wrote yesterday, don’t be surprised to see Lemuel Jeanpierre get the start at center in what is his second week with the team after coming back last week. Jeanpierre was the focus of our Meet a Seahawk feature for today, talking a bit about his route back to Seattle. He’ll be the fourth different starting center for Seattle this year, joining Max Unger, Steve Schilling and Patrick Lewis, who got the nod last week with Unger and Schilling sidelined. Jeanpierre was brought back due to his experience, something the Seahawks hope will result in a cleaner game up front. He’ll get his chance today.

— Interesting note here that the 49ers have had a pass picked off near or in the end zone in five straight games against Seattle. I noted Colin Kaepernick’s struggles against Seattle in my Keys to the Game, which also includes thoughts on Russell Wilson’s running and the disparity in Seattle’s penalties and its opponents something Pete Carroll talked about on Monday.

— Wrapping up all of the picks for tonight’s game.

— The 49ers made a couple of personnel moves today to address some issues at its tight end position.

— Tickets were going for under face value this morning on the secondary market.

— This is an ESPN Insider piece, but some interesting stuff here on Seattle’s decision after the season with Marshawn Lynch.

— The San Francisco Chronicle on the challenge presented by Lynch, with some good anecdotes on his Bay Area days.

— ESPN with its top things to know, including a look at Kaepernick’s seond-half struggles this season.

— NFL.com previews the game.

— The 49ers hope Stevie Johnson will present a new wrinkle for the Seahawks tonight.

Finally, this is fun — Jimmy Fallon giving out his Superlatives to the Seahawks and 49ers:
