Seahawks Richard Sherman named NFC Defensive Player of the Week

Seattle’s Richard Sherman has been named the NFC’s Defensive Player of the Week after picking off two passes in the Seahawks’ 19-3 win at San Francisco

It is the fourth time Sherman has won the award in his career.

It’s also the third time a Seahawk has won it this year, with safety Kam Chancellor earning the honors the other two times, including the previous week when Seattle beat Arizona 19-3.

Sherman is also the only player to win the award each of the past three seasons.
