Seahawks 24, Eagles 14: First impressions

Bob Condotta: Russell Wilson was the best offensive player on the field on a day when the Eagles seemed determined to contain Marshawn Lynch. His 26-yard touchdown run couldn’t have been, well, run any better. And his 23-yard touchdown pass was also a masterful job of both recognizing an advantageous matchup and then executing the throw.

Jayson Jenks: One of the subtler developments the last few weeks has been the improved play of second-year defensive tackle Jordan Hill. Hill had a sack against the Eagles and was a disruptive factor in the run game. The Seahawks have looked for him to fill that pass-rushing role up the middle all year, and he’s starting to do just that.

Larry Stone: A dominating defensive effort by the Seahawks. For all the talk about the Eagles’ up-tempo offense, Seattle made them look halting and at times lost.
