Seattle injury report for Wednesday: Seahawks add DE David King

We’ll handle two items of business in this blog post.

First, the Seahawks are reportedly adding defensive end David King to their 53-man roster, signing him away from the Bengals’ practice squad. King will be added apparently to help fill in for Demarcus Dobbs, who suffered an ankle injury early in the game over the Eagles Sunday.

King was a seventh-round pick of the Eagles in 2013 out of Oklahoma. He has been on practice squads since and has not played in any games.

Dobbs was one of four players listed as out for Wednesday’s practice. The others were C Max Unger (knee/ankle), TE Cooper Helfet (ankle) and RB Marshawn Lynch (back).

Coach Pete Carroll said that Unger and Helfet might get on the field today, and their participation could increase as the week goes on.

For Lynch, this is his usual rest day.

Listed as fully participating was cornerback Jeremy Lane, who missed the last two games with a gluteus injury.

Everybody else was full go.

Also, Seattle today signed CB Kennard Cox and RB Mike Zimmer to the practice squad. They take the place of WR Chris Matthews, who was promoted to the active roster Saturday, and RB Stanley Havili, who was released from the practice squad over the weekend.
