Frank Gore TD puts 49ers ahead, 7-3

This was a stat tweeted out after the 49ers punted on the opening possession of the game:

It didn’t look much better as they also punted on their second possession. But the 49ers answered the Seahawks’ opening score with an 11-play, 85-yard drive that consumed 5:18.

The 49ers elected to go for it on fourth-and-1 from the Seattle 10. After a timeout by each team, Frank Gore got the first down and then some, scoring on a 10-yard touchdown run with 13:22 left in the first half. (Watch video of TD here)
