Seahawks injury report: Okung to return, Kearse out

RENTON — The Seahawks are expected to return one starter (Russell Okung) this week against St. Louis while also losing one (Jermaine Kearse).

Okung, Seattle’s starting left tackle, made it through practice and has been cleared to play after missing last week’s game with a chest injury, coach Pete Carroll said.

Kearse will miss Sunday’s game after suffering a hamstring injury in the first half of last week’s game against the Cardinals, and his status for the rest of the season is unknown.

The Seahawks also have a handful of game-time decisions for Sunday’s game: tight ends Cooper Helfet (ribs) and Tony Moeaki (shoulder), center Max Unger (knee/ankle), cornerback Tharold Simon (shoulder), wide receiver Chris Matthews (hamstring).

Here is the full injury report:

Out:

  • DE Demarcus Dobbs (ankle)
  • WR Jermaine Kearse (hamstring)

Questionable:

  • C Max Unger (knee/ankle)
  • TE Cooper Helfet (ribs)
  • WR Chris Matthews (hamstring)
  • CB Tharold Simon (shoulder)

Probable:

  • Russell Okung (chest)
  • TE Tony Moeaki (shoulder)
  • RB Marshawn Lynch (back)
