Seattle defensive coordinator Dan Quinn focused on the present

Who knows what the future holds for Seattle defensive coordinator Dan Quinn, who has been linked to just about every NFL head coaching vacancy, and most specifically that of the New York Jets?

But Quinn nows what’s in his present — heaping prepare the Seahawks for Saturday’s game against the Carolina Panthers.

And when he met the media for his regular weekly session on Wednesday, it was that task that Quinn preferred to focus on.

“Well fortunately the NFL has a system in place that during the bye and during the off time it allows coaches who have that bye to get a chance to visit,” Quinn said “And through the support of coach (Pete Carroll) and the people here, it’s a terrific deal. I’ll defer to the clubs on that and their own policies as they go. That was kind of past during the bye and it was nice getting back into the weekend and finally finding out who we get to play again and then the focus has all been back to Carolina this week.”

And that was basically what Quinn had to say on the jobs front, otherwise saying he would defer to the teams involved and that his focus was now on the Panthers.

You can see more of what Quinn had to say about the Panthers and the Seattle defense in the video below:
