Tight end Tony Moeaki, who had been listed as questionable after straining his calf in practice on Tuesday, was among Seattle’s seven inactive players for the divisional playoff game today against Carolina.
Also inactive is safety Jeron Johnson, who was declared out early in the week with a dislocated elbow suffered late in the regular season finale against the Rams.
The other five inactive players are healthy scratches to get down to the gameday limit of 46: CB Marcus Burley, C Lemuel Jeanpierre, OG Keavon Milton, DT Landon Cohen and WR Kevin Norwood.
Norwood might be viewed as a mild surprise. But this is undoubtedly due to special teams as WR Chris Matthews is now healthy and has been a significant contributor on special teams when healthy. Same is true of DB Steven Terrell, who was promoted to the active roster this week and is basically taking the spot of Johnson.
Inactive for Carolina are CB James Dockery, S Robert Lester, LB A.J. Klein, T David Foucault, G Amini Silatolu, DE Frank Alexander and DT Star Lotulelei.
Lotulelei was declared out earlier in the week with a broken foot suffered last Saturday against Arizona.
