Falcons reportedly set to make move to hire Dan Quinn

Lots of reports this morning that the Atlanta Falcons are focusing on Seattle defensive coordinator Dan Quinn as their next head coach.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that the Falcons are prepared to hire Quinn on Monday if the Seahawks lose against the Packers Sunday.

If Seattle wins, the team can hold another interview with Quinn and all-but-hire him. However, Quinn can not be hired as long as Seattle is still playing games. Assistants can be interviewed again during the bye week leading up to the Super Bowl.

None of this is a real surprise as Quinn was known to have interviewed with Atlanta and it’s been reported in recent days that Quinn had decided that was the job he wanted and that the Falcons had set their sights on hiring him
