Richard Sherman INT in end zone thwarts Packers’ opening drive

The Packers took the opening kickoff and appeared to be getting in position for a score. Eddie Lacy, who had only 34 yards rushing in their first meeting, ripped off a long run and the Seahawks helped matters by committing three penalties (though one was declined). But on third-and-10 from the Seattle 29, Rodgers decided to test Richard Sherman deep, and Sherman won this round.

In the same corner of the same end zone in which he made his tip play against the 49ers in last year’s NFC title game, Sherman came up with a pass intended for Davante Adams and kept his feet inbounds with 11:16 to go in the first quarter.(Watch video of the interception here)

It was Sherman’s second career postseason interception, his first coming last week against the Panthers.
