Richard Sherman doubts Patriots will be punished by NFL, and a few other Seahawks’ notes

Seattle’s media availability for the day here has ended.

And in what might be no surprise the money quote of the day came from Richard Sherman, talking about the topic of the day, Deflate-gate.

Sherman, asked if he thought the Patriots would be punished, said “will they be punished? Probably not. Not as long as (New England owner) Robert Kraft and (NFL commissioner) Roger Goodell are still taking pictures (together) at their respective homes. I think he was just at Kraft’s house last week for the AFC Championship. Talk about conflict of interest. You know, as long as that happens, it won’t affect them at all. Nothing will.”

Sherman also took a little shot at the NFL for the fact that Seattle players are not getting Pro Bowl gifts since they are not playing in the game due to being in the Super Bowl, instead.

“Only thing I’m disappointed about is that we didn’t get our gifts from the Pro Bowl. Which is kind of dumb,” Sherman said. “The NFL is only league that punishes the players for who actually make the all-star game by not giving them the gift.”
