Brandon Browner says “no hard feelings”

Former Seattle cornerback Brandon Browner raised eyebrows with his comments in an ESPN interview this week that he would tell his New England teammates to hit Richard Sherman and Earl Thomas in the spots where they are injured.

But during Super Bowl media day Tuesday, Browner said he didn’t mean for it to be taken as literally as it was.

Browner said when he was asked a question about those two and their injuries that “it felt like the right thing to say at the time.”

Browner said he meant it solely out of competition and that he knows his former Seattle teammates understand.

“Those guys are my brothers,” he said.
