What will Marshawn Lynch do today?

Update: Marshawn Lynch’s stuck with the same act, but had a different line during Wednesday’s media availability. With throngs of media members again surrounding the Seahawks’ running back, Lynch answered each question with a simple: “You know why I’m here.”

One thing to remember is that the Marshawn Lynch-media story is far from over here at the Super Bowl.

Consider Tuesday’s Media Day as just the first chapter in a story that could last through post-game Sunday and even into Monday.

All Seattle players and coaches are required to be available to the media again today (with the press conference starting at 9:15 a.m. Seattle time) and Thursday (same time). Will Lynch repeat his line of Tuesday? Will he show? At this point, whatever he does will be a big story.

Interviews for players end Thursday.

But there has already been much discussion around here about what happens if Lynch has another game like he did in the NFC Championship against Green Bay, when as much as anybody on the field he was the MVP.

Being MVP of the Super Bowl comes with all kinds of media requirements, including the traditional morning-after press conference.

Would Lynch not get votes from those who might want to avoid the whole thing?

Would Lynch show if he did win? (One guess — he’d send someone else in his place).

Regardless, something will happen today with whether Lynch talks or not that will leave everybody talking.
