Report: Seahawks to lose defensive assistant coach Manual to Falcons

So far, just one Seattle assistant appears to be following Dan Quinn to Atlanta, as ESPN is reporting today that defensive assistant Marquand Manuel will become the new secondary coach and senior defensive consultant.

Manual, a former Seahawks player from 2004-05 (he was on the 2005 Super Bowl team) was an assistant special teams coach in 2012 and defensive assistant the past two years.

Quinn has some of his coaching staff already set (list here).

There have also been rumors about Ken Norton Jr. being in consideration as defensive coordinator for the Raiders. But so far, nothing has come of that.

Seattle has to hire a new defensive coordinator to replace Quinn, with most speculation still centering on the likely promotion of secondary coach Kris Richard.
