Leroy Hill’s bail set at $150,000; next hearing scheduled for Friday
Linebacker Leroy Hill had his first court appearance Thursday at King County District Court after his arrest Tuesday on two allegations of domestic violence.
Hill has not yet been charged. He has a second court appearance scheduled Friday. His bail has been set at $150,000.
According to the statement of probable cause, Hill was accused of assaulting a 26-year-old woman identified as his girlfriend. She stated the disagreement began at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday over her inability to find a set of keys. She said Hill pushed her down, threw her across the room by her wrists and then stood on her chest and head, making it difficult to breathe. She told officers she “thought she was going to die.”
She also alleged Hill struck her with a bottle he was drinking from.
When officers arrived, she said Hill repeatedly prevented her from leaving the residence throughout the day and went so far as taking away her cell phone. Officers concluded it was apparent Hill had prevented her from leaving the residence.
She told officers she left the house when he used the bathroom.
When interviewed by officers, Hill said he was the one who had been assaulted out of jealousy. He said that he had been scratched and struck with a small wooden rod.
