It’s party time in South Lake Union

I live in Snohomish County but I also consider myself a citizen of South Lake Union. The Times building where I work is at John Street, just minutes away from Westlake Avenue and Denny Way, where the South Lake Union Block Party is going on as I type this post.
I just came back from having lunch there, a delicious kimchi rice bowl from Marination Mobile. That gave me enough energy to do this sketch.
The party continues until 11 p.m. with a wine tasting context, a burger grilling competition, live music and even an outdoor movie. Proceeds from this year’s event will benefit the neighborhood’s nonprofit Immanuel Community Services.
