It’s been a tough year for Hammering Man. After logging more than 90,000 hours — striking four times a minute — since it was installed in 1992, its arm gave up last summer. It didn’t work for a while and then it actually had to be amputated.
I mentioned in my year-in-sketches post last Saturday that I hope he recovers soon. But I thought I’d stop by today for a new sketch (see previous one here.) You know how it is when you’re sick, the more support you get the better!
