Carole Galuska works at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance in South Lake Union and likes to take the streetcar during her lunch break to go downtown.
Galuska is not a stranger to public transportation. “I’ve been taking the bus since I moved here 20 years ago,” she said. She now commutes by ferry and bus from Vashon Island and spends one-and-a-half to two hours each way.
She said Seattle has a good public transportation system and, as far as improvements go, she’d like to see the streetcar line extended.
[This is one of occasional posts about Seattle commuters.]
