Kristin Tollefson teaches field drawing at Cornish College of the Arts and invited me to share some sketching tips with her group of students. I enjoyed seeing their work and hope they found my advice useful enough since I don’t have any magic tricks up my sleeve. I told them the best thing to do to improve your drawing skills is to carry a notebook all the time and draw every day. After a while, drawing will become as natural as the act of writing words on a piece of paper. It’s just something you do. Enjoying the process is also what matters. If you focus too much on the result, you miss out all the fun.
And on that note, have a great weekend everybody and thanks for following my work! For more updates you may also follow me on Twitter and Facebook.
