For my son’s group of cub scouts, it doesn’t get much better than this. One of their recent activities was to take Captain Larry’s Sunday Ice Cream Cruise around Lake Union.
The entire family tagged along of course. Who can say no to ice cream and being on the water on a day that was actually sunny?
The 45-minute tour gave us a unique perspective of the city. We were captivated with the up-close view of float planes, sailboat, bridges and houseboats.
When it came time for the treats, we chose the ice cream sandwich bars. I felt the summer had actually started.
This week I stopped by Fishermen’s Terminal to learn more about Captain Larry Kezner and his boat. I’ll have another scoop on the story for you tomorrow.
