My Tuesday morning commute

After two weeks away, I landed back in Seattle just in time for the first snow storm of what could be several this year.
This morning I did a couple of sketches during my bus commute, which took two-and-a-half hours, twice as long as usual. I rode two buses, one from my neighborhood to a park and ride, and one from the park and ride to downtown.

On my first bus I met Andre Duvair, who was on his way to work to the Lynnwood Olive Garden restaurant. He said he had to train four new employees and didn’t have the option to stay home. His car wouldn’t start and he decided to take the bus.

My second bus was packed, with a lot of people standing for about an hour.
I’m crossing my fingers that my evening commute won’t be as horrendous as it was for many folks Monday evening. Some people were stuck in traffic for more than nine hours.
What happened with all the winter preparations?
