Lineless in Seattle: Trying pure watercolor sketches

My sketches always come with lines, but I’m trying to broaden my skill set by doing watercolor sketches with no lines at all. It’s a painterly approach to sketching that I’m looking forward to trying more often. It feels like hanging on a trapeze with no net! To get better at this, I’m taking a watercolor class from Tom Hoffmann at Gage Academy of Art. If I have the patience to stick with this approach, you may see more lineless sketches here in the future. I drew this one at a Panera Bread cafe this morning.
