I’ve been spending every Saturday recently watching my daughter and son play basketball. Compared to baseball and soccer, the other team sports they’ve played so far, basketball has been even more fun to watch from the bleachers at our local Boys & Girls Club. For one thing, it’s indoors! We haven’t had to wrap ourselves in blankets in cold weather or dodge the rain with umbrellas. But also because the game is fast-paced and exciting.
The news of the Sonics coming back to Seattle has my son even more excited about the sport. You may remember when I sketched at KeyArena while we watched the Storm play. Now he’s already asking me if we’ll get tickets for the first Sonics game. Not sure about the first, but we’ll get tickets for a game for sure!

A few weeks ago, my kids had early-dismissal from school and it was my turn to come pick them up. While I waited in the car, I sketched whatever I could see in front of me, mostly other cars waiting in line and the thick wall of trees that surrounds the school.
