Kasey Keller on his GK jersey
Or lack thereof. He wasn’t modeling the official Sounders FC goalkeepers’ jersey last week…that has yet to be approved by MLS. Here are his thoughts on that matter:
“I was disappointed,” Keller said. “I mean, Adidas kind of slipped up a little bit and didn’t have the jerseys out yet.”
His tone was tongue-in-cheek.
“We’re [goalkeepers] the ones that they always take advantage of. We’re always the last to get anything or we’re in the back. We’re different. We get to use our hands. So it didn’t surprise me that they didn’t have my jersey. But it was cool.”
Will it be shale?
“There will be some funky color they’ll give it, I’m sure, that you’ll say ‘All right, I’ll take your word for it, that’s the color.'” Keller said. “As long as it’s not…I like more of a traditional jersey. Not something with a bunch of crazy stuff. So I might have to veto something if they give me something silly. But I have a good feeling that they’ll put out something cool.”
