Training, Day One

Sounders FC took the fields at Seahawks headquarters this morning for its first practice of training camp.

Quick observations:

1. It was cold. So cold.

2. Freddy Montero was somewhat limited, but not due to injury. The team got out of the first day with no one getting hurt although there were a couple of collisions.

3. The shale-colored warmup tops look nice.

4. Jordan Jennings was a last-minute add-on to the roster after last night. He’s a GK from Seattle University.

5. M Khano Smith is huge in person. Listed at 6-3, 190.

6. I honestly don’t know who everyone is by face yet, and it was harder to figure that out with all the winter caps on.

Now for some photos:

1. The team convenes for practice.

2. Freddy Montero, who has not yet reached an agreement to play for Seattle but is in camp.

3. Going for a jog.

4. Majority owner Joe Roth watches his team.
