Watching the mini-games was a lot of fun. I can’t stress this enough, Fredy Montero is the best player on the field for Seattle right now. And what a time to show his skills, with GM Adrian Hanauer and technical director Chris Henderson there. I mentioned to Adrian that it looks like he’s found quite a talent.

Save of the day: A tie between Kevin Guppy, who stopped a Montero penalty, and Chris Eylander, who reached out to knock a shot away at the last moment. Nasty collision between F Jeff Clark and D Danny Jackson (corrected, I originally had Kyle Schmid here but got a call from the team) but both guys shook it off.

Programming note: I will be taking Saturday off, so no posts from me expected.

1. The brass chats after practice…Sigi Schmid, Chris Henderson and Adrian Hanauer.

2. Zach Scott takes a penalty kick during the extra session of a scrimmage. Fredy Montero looks on.
