Quick roster check, updated with Graham and Levesque

I’m thinking of doing a further roster analysis over the weekend as the team returns from California, but here’s a look at who is left. Also, we have some very sharp and astute readers of this blog and ness77 from Seattle is one of them. That person, be it a man or woman, correctly pointed out that Khano Smith has a one-game suspension to fill when the season starts, and that suspension will be served when his new team, New York, faces Sounders FC. So there will be no Seattle reunion for Smith.

Hence, Smith’s first game is conceivably against New England. I’m sure I wrote about Smith’s suspension before, just forgot about it. So thanks for keeping things in check.

OK, roster time. Going into the San Jose game Friday, Seattle now has the following players:

M Osvaldo Alonso

D Mandou Bojang

D Evan Brown

D/M Ryan Caugherty

F Jeff Clark

D Mamadou Danso (expected to rejoin team in Seattle)

GK Ben Dragavon

M Brad Evans

GK Chris Eylander

D Taylor Graham

F-M Emerald George

F Patrick Ianni

F Nate Jaqua

F Fredy Montero

F-M Lamar Neagle

F Vini Oliveira

D-M Nathan Sturgis
