Andres’ take on Sounders FC

Andres Caballero es un amigo mio que juega para el Fusion de Ventura County. El ofrece su punto de vista del estilo y abilidad de los jugadores de Sounders FC.

Translation: Andres Caballero is a friend of mine who is playing for the Ventura County Fusion. He offers his viewpoint of the style and skill of the Sounders FC players.

Andres played college soccer in the Bay Area. I met him at a journalism convention last year in Chicago, and I was excited to hear that he had landed on the Fusion roster that played Seattle Wednesday night. Andres didn’t play that night, but here’s what he observed.

Gracias amigo por su contribucion.

“They look quite solid all around. They beat us 6-1 (even though it should have been 6-2 haha). Like with the Galaxy game, the coach made significant changes for the second half. Offensively: the forwards have a lot of speed and were consistent in capitalizing on their opportunities. In the second half, they were more conservative offensively and only scored one goal. By then, the score gave them a chance to show their effectiveness at keeping possession of the ball. Their players in the back as well as the midfield orchestrated this quite well. This team has a lot of potential. Complimented by Keller and Ljungberg who add and will add significant balance to the level of maturity, this team could soon make their way to the top of the MLS.”
