Game time

Here I go with a running live blog…that’s me working in the photo.

Keller and Jaqua were introduced first as former Pilots. They got a nice round of applause from the maybe 1200 or 1300 that are here.

7:07 PM Under way.

Stephen King misses point blank in second minute. SSFC on the attack.

Evan Brown takes first corner kick.

GOAL! Nyassi on the dribble, crosses to Jaqua who heads it into the net past UP keeper Austin Guerrero, 3:16 of first half. 1-0 Seattle

Ianni, Wahl, Brown (right), Scott (left) are defenders. Theobald is a defensive midfielder. Caugherty (left), Nyassi (right) and King (center) are midfielders. Jaqua and Clark are forwards in the 4-4-2.

10:42 1st — Frankie Lopez takes first shot on goal for Pilots, save Keller.

13:53 1st — Wahl with left-footed free kick toward the goal, saved.

15:20 1st — Collen Warner of UP puts a move on Theobald that is just nasty, as in a major fake and go.

Tyson Wahl, Nyassi and Jaqua are looking really sure of themselves out there.

17:55 — UP foul, Wahl with free kick from far right. Left foot kick, Caugherty gets a head on it and knocks it over the goal.

NOTE: Game is OPEN to the public. This one is, the ones in Seattle are not.

Evan Brown is playing James Riley’s role with the No. 1 group, moving forward as an attacking fullback and taking kicks off set pieces.

30:55 1st — Tyson Wahl’s second corner kick is headed by Patrick Ianni off the cross bar, and Jeff Clark is there to knock in the rebound for the GOAL. 2-0 Seattle, 32nd minute.

34:20 1st — Jaqua out, Roger Levesque in.

8-1 Seattle in shots on goal so far, about 7 minutes left in half.

-Nice work by King 40:42 1st, dribbles to the middle and gets off a hard blast with his left foot.

HALF, 2-0 SSFC.

Second half — Eylander in goal for Seattle. Le Toux at right midfield. Kevin Forrest at left midfield. King, Nyassi and Keller are out.

Not much going on so far, though UP has taken two decent shots on Eylander. Both were saved. (56th minute)

Le Toux just took a shot at the 58:10 mark that just missed.

Substitutions for Seattle, 61st minute — Riley, Alonso, Zakuani, Montero, Evans, Graham, Sturgis and Marshall in.

GOAL for Portland, 63rd minute. Rebound off a good free kick that bounced away. Logan Emory puts it past Eylander. 2-1 Seattle.

70th minute — Speedy Zakuani makes a run and breaks free. Fouled hard by UP keeper, yellow card and penalty kick coming.

70:08 2nd — Montero converts the PK for the GOAL. 3-1 Seattle.

Taylor Graham gets a header on the free kick in the 73rd minute and it takes a great save to prevent the goal.

74:46 2nd Sounders FC scores again, Evans from Graham. 4-1.

I know that I’ve raved about Montero on this blog before, but the kid just makes the game look so easy. Things beginning to wind down here.

FINAL 4-1 SSFC. Record is now 4-1. Saw Zakuani on the bench at the end of the game rubbing his left ankle.
