“We’re never going to turn depth away”

So said Sounders FC coach Sigi Schmid today when asked about defender Jeff Parke and how he might fit into the playing rotation with all of the other defenders on the roster.

Parke said he was never fazed by all of the signings Seattle made on defense, including trading for Patrick Ianni, signing Jhon Kennedy Hurtado, keeping Zach Scott and trading for Tyrone Marshall after Parke decided to try his luck in Belgium.

“It doesn’t make me feel less or doesn’t make me feel worse or make me feel any different,” he said.
