Happy Soccer Jersey/Shirt Day!

Many of you celebrate Wear Your Scarf to Work Day on Fridays. Today, we at the Seattle Times celebrated the first soccer jersey and shirt day, where soccer enthusiasts at work were invited to sport the colors of their favorite international or club team.

Here are some of the participants in their kit glory from today. Not pictured but not forgotten: Raina Wagner in Sounders FC blue shirt, Josh Mayers (who works late). Photo by Larry Stone, Seattle Times staff reporter.

Left to right, Henry Han in Korea national team jersey from 2002, Bob Wickwire in his Arsenal commemorative kit with the original team colors, fellow Oregon Duck Jeff Paslay wearing River Plate of Argentina, Bob Payne in a River Plate shirt, Chris Taylor in a World team jersey from 1998 MLS All-Star Game (it actually belonged to Uche Okafor, a former KC Wizard) and yours truly in Club Deportivo Chivas de Guadalajara (Mexico) gear.
