PEMCO reveals Northwest Profile #26: “I know I am, I’m sure I am Sounders FC Fan”

SEATTLE – PEMCO Insurance is teaming up with the Seattle Sounders FC, the Northwest’s newest professional sports organization that’s quickly becoming well-known and much-loved among soccer fans.

As part of its Sounders partnership, PEMCO is unveiling the newest profile from its “We’re A Lot Like You. A Little Different” ad campaign. Northwest Profile #26, the “I know I am, I’m sure I am Sounders FC Fan,” brings the number of Northwest profiles to 47.

“There’s an incredible energy and enthusiasm that’s building around the Sounders, and we’re excited to be involved in this inaugural season,” said PEMCO spokesperson Jon Osterberg. “While some of us are still grasping the rules of ‘offsides’ or ‘stoppage time,’ the Sounders continue to rally a passionate fan base that PEMCO is proud to be part of.”

The name of PEMCO’s Northwest Profile #26 was inspired by the soccer team’s chant often sung in unison by sold-out crowds at Qwest Field, the Sounders’ home turf.

PEMCO is inviting Sounders fans to showcase their own chanting chops by entering written submissions in a contest at www.werealotlikeyou.com. The contest challenges fans to submit original Sounders chants that demonstrate Northwest flair and passion for the team.

Fans are encouraged to enter their chants throughout the regular 2009 season for a chance to win PEMCO and Sounders soccer gear. PEMCO will announce winners during the weeks leading up to each home game.

To help support the Sounders’ premier season, PEMCO – the Northwest’s largest local insurance company – also invites fans to visit the PEMCO booth at every 2009 home game to participate in a variety of activities, including the PEMCO photo booth.

Fans also can spin the PEMCO Prize Wheel for a chance to win soccer gifts and other prizes tied to PEMCO’s “We’re A Lot Like You. A Little Different” ad campaign. PEMCO’s mobile booth is located outside the stadium’s northwest entrance 2 ½ hours before every Sounders home match.
