That’s Nate Jaqua shooting on goal after the 11-on-11 scrimmage this morning at Starfire.

Practice was closed until the final few minutes today, as is typically the case on a Thursday before a Saturday game.

Looks like there will be two different defenders in the starting lineup, as Nathan Sturgis missed another practice and James Riley will not play because of his red card.

I talked to Riley today. He said he’ll remain in Seattle this weekend, unable to attend the game at FC Dallas.

Riley said coach Sigi Schmid told him to take the weekend off and relax. Riley will do some working out, see some more of the city and perhaps go to a bar to watch the game with fans.

“I think that would be a good way to connect with the fan base,” Riley said. On Sunday he’ll be at a charity bass fishing event put on by the Seahawks.

Riley said he’s into the outdoors, being from Colorado.
