Graham was on the sideline with a boot over his right foot tonight, and Sigi Schmid said he has a fracture of the third metatarsal and will go on injured reserve, forcing him out of the next six games at least.
Schmid had to make some moves because of Graham’s injury. He sent Nate Sturgis to midfielder and brought Patrick Ianni back to central defender. Tyson Wahl played the whole match at outside back, Stephen King played the full 90 after 89 last Saturday and Sanna Nyassi played 80 minutes. Le Toux and Levesque also played all the way.
Nate Jaqua and James Riley, a pair of starters, came off the bench late. Keller had to play the whole game because Chris Eylander is on I.R., and Hurtado, another starter, took what would have been Graham’s spot.
Freddie Ljungberg could have been available off the bench, but Seattle already had five internationals, the minimum for a U.S. Open Cup match, on the roster for the night.
Ljungberg trained with asst. coach Ezra Hendrickson before the game.
Brad Evans was available only in case the game went into PKs, but Schmid hopes to have him for the Columbus match. Evans is a former Crew player.
