An assist from Seattle City Light

Scott Thomsen, a senior strategic advisor with Seattle City Light (the company that provides my electricity and plenty of other peoples’) had this good piece of info for those going to the game tomorrow:

Seattle City Light will be doing some work in the area that will shut down power to the traffic signals on Royal Brougham next to Qwest Field and on 4th Avenue between Royal Brougham and Airport Way. This will start at 11 p.m. Police will be in place to direct traffic.

The game should end about 9:30 p.m., which should be plenty of time for people to get out without any problems, but the suggestion here is that celebrating fans don’t want to linger too long so they can avoid a slow drive.

Good advice. Thanks, Scott.
