Fredy Montero’s hair/pelo de Fredy Montero

Those who saw the game might have noticed the lines shaved into one side of Montero’s head. It’s a look that reminded me of the late ’80s-early ’90s hip-hop style. Yes, I am not ashamed to admit I had a line shaved into each side of my head at one point in my life. Just little ones though.

I asked Fredy coming off the field today about it.

“Para que todos me reconocen,” Montero said with a smile. Meaning “So everyone can recognize me.”

Malo,” teammate Jhon Kennedy Hurtado said out of Montero’s earshot. As in the ‘do looks bad.
