Sounders FC’s fun in the sun

A hard day of practice was made more bearable when Taylor Graham calmly walked up behind teammate Roger Levesque, who was stretching at the end of practice, and dumped a giant orange Gatorade cooler of water on Levesque.

Just Taylor being Taylor. Coach Schmid had no problem with it, he said, as long as the players don’t do it to him. Of course it would be different if it were celebrating an MLS Cup, I suspect.

Some fourth- and fifth grade students and volunteers from Tukwila’s Thorndyke Elementary got treated to a field trip to practice and some autographs. The kids are tutors for younger kids at the school and this was their reward. The players got a kick out of meeting the kids and the kids were thrilled, snapping photos and getting their green T-shirts signed.

The kids even chanted “Taylor! Taylor! Taylor!” after he’d given Levsesque a cold shower with the cooler.

That’s Pete Vagenas, Evan Brown, Tyson Wahl, Tyrone Marshall and Sanna Nyassi visible in the photo.
