Live from Bremerton Memorial Stadium, it’s bonus blogging

Oh sure, I could be home in Seattle watching other sports on TV. But the setting here along the water in Bremerton is unbeatable and validates my decision to drive out here to see the Kitsap Pumas and Portland Timbers in U.S. Open Cup play.

Winner plays Sonoma County Sol at sight to be determined next week. The winner of that game, presumably (if we’re going by region) gets Sounders FC in third round.

Here’s some photos from a lovely summer night here on the Kitsap Peninsula. Check the water view in the first one. That’s the Timbers in black in pregame warmups.
