From Jeremy Supinski, writer for PDL Seattle Wolves staff. Game was last night.
Chilliwack, British Columbia) – In a hard fought match played under nearly perfect conditions, the Seattle Wolves (6-2-1) defeated the Abbotsford Mariners (2-3-1) 1-0 at Townsend Park in Chilliwack, British Columbia.
Wolves striker Fernando Monge delivered what proved to be the winning goal in the 43rd minute from a Nick James assist.
Monge received James’ pass on the right side of the 18-yard box and drilled his second touch into the left corner of the net.
It goes on to say:
The win was the third in a row for the Wolves as they climb into first place in the Premier Development League Northwest Division with 19 points.
Seattle will retain this position for at least 24 hours, as the second place Kitsap Pumas will travel to Abbotsford on Saturday and attempt to reclaim their top spot.
Seattle’s next match is within the friendly confines of Starfire Sports Stadium against a technically gifted Vancouver Whitecaps Residency squad.
The first 100 fans that email firstname.lastname@example.org will receive free tickets to support the Wolves as they continue their hunt for a national playoff spot. (NOTE FROM JOSE: I received this just after noon today).
